Letter: Letter is he smallest unit of a language. In english language, there are 26 letters- A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, Z.
वर्ण या अक्षर: भाषा की सबसे छोटी इकाई letter होती है। अंग्रेजी भाषा के वर्णमाला में 26 अक्षर होते हैं।
Letters are of two types- Vowel and Consonants.
Vowel: There are 5 letters- a, e, i, o and u.
Consonants: There are 21 letters- b, c , d, f, g, h, j, k, l, m, n, p, q, r, s, t, v, w, x, y, z.
Letters दो प्रकार के होते हैं- स्वर और व्यंजन।
स्वर 5 होते हैं और व्यंजन 21.
Words: A group of meaningful letters is called word. Such as- book, teacher, pen, pencil etc.
शब्द: अक्षरों के सार्थक समूह को शब्द कहते हैं। जैसे- book, teacher, pen, pencil आदि।
Sentence: A group of words which makes complete and clear sense is called a sentence.
शब्दों का ऐसा समूह जो स्पष्ट और पूर्ण भाव प्रकट करता है sentence कहलाता है।
For example: Ravi goes to school daily.
He has no mercy.
Are you blind?
Please open the door.
May you live long!

Every sentence has two main parts- subject and predicate.
